We, with Royal Botanical Gardens, are once again looking for volunteers to help replant Cootes Paradise marsh, Grindstone Marsh or Hendrie Valley Marsh! Enjoy the scenery, spot a bird, and make new friends while you get down and dirty with the cattails.

Registration is done on a first come, first serve basis. One you have registered on eventbrite, within a few business days of the event you will receive a confirmation email from BARC staff with:

Waivers for you to print and bring completed.
The specific site location and what to bring.
A request for your shoe size as we provide chest waders. (Waders may be a couple sizes too big depending on who registers.)
Due to the nature and location of the planting sites, these events are not suitable for children. You must be at least 16 years old to participate. (An adult will need to sign a waiver for you if you are under the age of 18).

Planting sites are located in the marsh and a certain level of physical fitness is required. Please be aware that we are walking into a natural environment – you will get wet and dirty and leeches occasionally make an appearance. It is messy but rewarding work!
